Care Recommendations for Hijacker Camper Jacks
- Do not load or unload camper on windy days. The amount of wind that is dangerous depends on your exposure, weight of the camper, etc.
- Only unload or store your camper on level ground.
- The jacks are only to be used to load, unload or steady your camper. Never use these jacks to store your camper.
- Do not extend jack beyond red safety line on inner tube.
- Inspect and maintain your jacks regularly.
Winterizing your camper jacks
It is recommended that after the camper has been taken off the pickup truck for winter storage that it be lowered onto either blocks or some other stable supports.
- The pump plunger should be kept in the cartridge as much as possible and the top of the jack covered to protect it from the weather.
- The inter tube should be retracted completely and the safety catch fastened to prevent rusting of the ram during winter months.
